Dannel McCollum
Dannel was mayor of Champaign for several years and was a delightful change…actually an eccentric change. A real champion of green living before it was cool, he is responsible for the vision behind several huge improvements to this community.
Like keeping brick streets.
But the person of real note in the family is his mother, Vashti McCollum. You will have to get Dannel’s book, “The Lord was Not on Trial” to find out why.
